BalconyPatrol.com is a pre-launch page run by Vlad Mykol in Canada. It collects as little as it can, and this page lists all of it.

Waitlist

When you join the waitlist we store your email address, the time, the country your request came from, and where you arrived from (the page that linked here and any tag in the link, such as an ad identifier). We use this to send you one email when the campaign opens and to see which places bring people here.

If you tap “Yes, keep me posted” after joining, we also note that you want occasional prototype updates. Everyone else gets the single launch email only. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.

Like button

The like counter is anonymous: we store only the total. Your browser remembers your own like locally so the button stays pressed; nothing about you is sent.

Analytics and ads

The site is served by Cloudflare, which provides cookieless, aggregated analytics (page views, countries, referrers) and keeps standard server logs for security.

If you arrive from an advertisement in ChatGPT, the page loads OpenAI’s measurement pixel. It sets a first-party cookie (__oppref) so that, if you join the waitlist, that signup can be attributed to the ad. It is not loaded for anyone else. See OpenAI’s privacy policy for how they handle it.

No other third-party trackers, no advertising cookies, no data sales.

Where data lives

Waitlist and counters are stored in Cloudflare’s key-value storage. The waitlist is kept until the campaign ends and the launch email has been sent, then deleted, unless you opted in to updates.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Reply to any email from us, or write to Vlad Mykol.

The device

This page covers the website only. How the BalconyPatrol device handles camera images is described in the FAQ (“Is it always watching?”) and will be covered by a separate policy when the product ships.
