How it is built

The BalconyPatrol device on a balcony deck — solar panel on top, transparent enclosure with the camera and electronics visible, mounted on a flexible tripod
  • The device: motion sensor, camera, solar panel, speaker, and battery in a small self-sufficient setup
  • The brains: cloud-powered decisions, with an offline fallback so it can keep working without internet
  • Hand-built: designed, programmed, and tested end-to-end by one developer
